It takes a great rum to make a great Daiquiri. Old New Orleans Rum is the fuel behind the New Orleans Daiquiri Festival... made with Louisiana Sugar Cane, and distilled right here in New Orleans.
Defend The Daiquiri is an Initiative to Protect and Revitalize Louisiana's Daiquiri Shoppe and Open Container Culture. We're working to prevent any further restrictions on go-cups and to ensure we'll have the freedom to drink in outdoors for years to come.
Slow & Low brings back the tradition of bottled Rock & Rye, with honey, orange peel, and American Rye Whiskey, this spirit makes for an excellent float on top of any Daiquiri.
THE SHOW MUST GO ON…. AND IT WILL!
Unfortunately, we ran into a permitting issue in our transition, this year, from a non-profit event to a general public event. After talking with city hall, our lawyers, and the ATC, we are unable to hold the 3rd Annual New Orleans Daiquiri Festival tomorrow (Saturday), August 17th.
The Daiquiri Festival is RESCHEDULED for next Saturday, AUGUST 24th. It will still be at 527 Elysian Fields from 12:00-9:00. Those who bought online tickets, and can still attend, will be issued a free drink ticket for the inconvenience. If you’re unable to attend and have already purchased tickets, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll be spending this entire week planning and scheming a more MIND BLOWING, BRAIN FREEZING 3rd Annual New Orleans Daiquiri Festival! Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience! Who Daiq!
